Mentor Coaching
You need the hours.
Let's make them count.
Certifications
Here's the thing about mentor coaching:
Most coaches seek mentor coaching because they have to—it's a credential requirement.
And that's completely fine.
But here's what also happens: When you work with someone who treats mentor coaching as partnership (not performance review), you actually want to keep growing. The checkbox becomes something more.
That means:
Honest feedback (not harsh criticism)
Focus on your development areas (not a generic checklist)
Support for your authentic style (not cookie-cutter coaching)
That's the experience I create.
Mentor coaching doesn't have to be just another box to check.
What does that mean for your 10 hours?
We'll work on the ICF Core Competencies—because that's what you need for your credential.
But we'll do it in a way that develops your coaching style, not a cookie-cutter approach.
You don't need to coach like me. You need to become the most skilled, authentic version of yourself as a coach.
That's the work we do together.
A quick note about my approach:
I believe you already have wisdom and coaching ability. My role isn't to fix you—it's to help you refine your skills while staying true to your style.
So who do I typically work with?
-
Coaches pursuing PCC certification
You need to demonstrate all 8 competencies at PCC level—and you want to do it authentically, not like you're performing for an assessor.
-
ACC coaches seeking renewal
You need the 10 hours. Let's make sure they actually develop your coaching, not just fulfill a requirement.
-
Coaches navigating the overthinking trap
You second-guess every question, analyze every silence, wonder if you're "doing it right." You want to trust yourself more and perform less.
-
Internal coaches managing tricky boundaries
You're coaching inside an organization. The boundaries get messy. You need a mentor coach who gets that.

How it actually works:
1. We talk first
Book a chemistry call. We'll discuss where you are, what you need for your credential, and what you want to develop. If we're a good fit, we move forward.
2. You share recordings
Throughout your mentor coaching experience, you'll share three 30-minute recordings of your actual coaching with me. I'll review them using the ICF competency framework.
(Can't share recordings? We'll use self-reflection exercises and live coaching demonstrations instead.)
3. We meet regularly
Each 60-minute session includes:
Quick check-in (5 min)
Recording review and competency analysis (35 min)
Skill development practice (15 min)
Integration planning (5 min)
4. You practice between sessions
You apply what we discover to your actual coaching work.
5. You develop over time
Session by session, you build competency, confidence, and your authentic coaching style.
Why work with me?
I get the overthinking trap
I know what it's like to second-guess every coaching choice you make. I help you build trust in yourself so you can be present with your clients—not performing for an invisible assessor.
I believe you already have wisdom
You're an experienced coach, not a student who needs to be taught. I honor what you already know while helping you refine what you want to develop.
I focus on skill AND style
Yes, we work on the ICF Core Competencies—because that's what you need for your credential. But we do it in a way that develops your coaching style, not a cookie-cutter approach.
I’m ICF-credentialed and registered
PCC credential + ICF Registered Mentor Coach. I know the competencies inside and out—and I know how to help you demonstrate them authentically.
I’ve made hard transitions myself
Three career transitions. Three "logic says stay, intuition says go" moments. I understand what it takes to pursue something that matters to you—even when it feels uncertain.
Questions you might have:
-
No problem. We'll use self-reflection exercises and live coaching demonstrations during our sessions. You'll still get meaningful competency development.

-
Yes. Upon completion, you'll receive documentation that meets ICF mentor coaching requirements for credential applications or renewals.
Ready to make your mentor coaching hours count?
Let's talk about where you are, what you need for your credential, and how we'll work together.
You need the hours. Let's make sure they matter.
Hi, I’m Jocelyn Auyeung.
I'm an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and ICF Registered Mentor Coach.
I help coaches meet their ICF requirements while developing their skills in a way that feels authentic to them.
My approach is shaped by:
Three career transitions where I had to trust both logic and intuition—I know what it takes to pursue something that matters, even when it feels uncertain.
My work as a Mental Health Coach at Lyra Health supporting people through major life transitions and decision-making.
10+ years as a teacher and instructional coach where I learned that growth happens through reflection, not being told what to do.
My own journey through mentor coaching and PCC credentialing—I've been where you are.
What I believe:
The best coaches aren't the ones who follow a formula. They're the ones who've learned to connect their natural coaching presence with solid technique.
You don't need to coach like me. You need to become the most skilled, authentic version of yourself as a coach.
That's the work we'll do together.
